Our Process
We believe in a lean approach to our projects. We focus on maximizing efficiency by continuously improving our processes through out our projects. This includes optimizing scheduling, reducing delays, and improving communication among project stakeholders. We believe in a systematic approach to construction and follow an 8-step process to insure our clients are always kept informed.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
During this initial consultation we will focus on learning a bit more about your wants, needs and personality, to fully customize your project to match your unique space and to make sure we are a good match to work together.
Step 2: Preliminary Design
We will take measurements of your space, work with your design, or help you organize your space. Based on the project, you will receive a preliminary 3D model to help you visualize your home's/backyard's potential.
Step 3: Budget Proposal
At this point we will have a better idea of what your project expectation will look like and the scope of work. We will give you a cost estimate based on our initial consultation and your preliminary design.
Step 4: Detailed design
At this stage you will have a good idea of what you want your space to look like. Depending on the project, we will finalize your design by bringing in an architect/designer to have detailed construction drawing and select your finishes.
Step 5: Pre-Construction phase/Contract proposal
Now that we have your final design and finishes we can create a construction schedule. Our estimator will create a quote based off the final drawings. We will go over the schedule and pricing with you to make sure everyone involved is aligned.
Step 6: Permits and Approvals
If your project requires permits we will create a permit package and get the required approval to ensure your project is up to code.
Step 7: Construction/Project management
During the construction phase we will use the latest project management software and methodologies to ensure your project runs smoothly. We will have on-site meetings to go over the progress and answer any questions. We will update the schedule and tasks on a weekly basis to keep you informed about the progress and the next steps through out the project.
Step 8: After care
Once the project is completed, we will do a final walk through to make sure we met all of your expectations. If you have any further questions after the completion of your project we will always be a phone call away.
